I had a basket delicious sweet strawberries that were ready to be eaten that very minute so I added them to a banana peanut butter smoothie. Actually as I type this it sounds a little disgusting, but it truly wasn’t. In fact it was very reminiscent of a pb&j, in a fresh, cool, frozen yogurt sort of a way, not like I tossed an actual peanut butter and jelly sandwich in the blender way.
Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie
1/2 frozen bananas
large spoonfuls of natural peanut butter
1 1/2 cups almond milk
a large handful of strawberries
3 dates (pitted)
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
Blend it up and add a few sliced berries on top to make two smoothies. A banana peanut butter smoothie is one of my favorites, so this is just a twist on that.
