Hermie or a kitty is always nearby when I have the camera out…hoping to make it into the blog, too.
Letterpress love! My sister Pam took a letterpress class recently and gave me one of her pieces along with several “Pie” letterpressed cards that I’m going to use when I make and give away pies (Thank you Pam!).
Classes are limited and offered at different times…keeping my fingers crossed for a summer schedule.
Not only do I adore the quality of the heavy weight paper and brilliant color but the quote Pam chose is so very true. Sometimes you do just need to throw some chairs around, at least figuratively. Earlier today this post was ready to go until the rainbow circle just kept spinning on my desktop and the computer froze up for the second time in two days. After a couple restarts it is back, for now. Eek. Worried the Mac is sick and that’s not good. So, yes, the quote was perfect for me at that moment. Looking forward to framing Pam’s art this weekend.
The creamy thick paper, vibrant ink, curvy font of the quote and the crackly ink on the “e” in “Pie” are absolutely beautiful. How inspiring to find yet another thing I would like to lock myself up with for a month or so. Just piles of paper, ink and a letterpress machine of my own sounds amazing! A four hour class will do, too.
